Rolex released the Rolex Submariner Ref. 16610LV, also known as ‘Kermit’, in 2003 in celebration of the Submariner’s 50th anniversary. Its production was discontinued in 2010, making this model very sough-after, specially the earlier versions.
The main feature of this watch was the vivid green bezel insert, making it instantly recognizable. The first versions (serials Y and early F) wore a so-called and sought after ‘Flat Four’ bezel insert, distinguished from the resto by the flat top part of the 4 in 40 versus the pointed one of following versions.
Offered for sale here is a ‘Falt Four’ bezel insert preserved in New Old Stock (N.O.S.) condition, remaining still in its original, unopened, factory-sealed plastic case.
It features a bright green-lime color.
